SUDBURY, ONTARIO

We started the day with Scott Overton on 790 CIGM RADIO

Then we rushed back to the motorhome at the RV Park to meet up with Dan Lessard from CBC RADIO POINTS NORTH.
We first met Dan Lessard in the fall of 2003 when he interviewed us in our motorhome outside the CBC studio in Sudbury. We made an autumn stir fry and it was the first time we cooked on radio. This time we made Dan a summer drink in a blender. Wonderful sound effects. There is nothing like the sound of a blender crushing ice on the radio!
Then we were off with the motorhome to the parking lot of A & J Home Hardware for a telephone interview on CJIK RADIO.
A & J Home Hardware was celebrating their 35 anniversary with events for 35 days leading up to our visit. When we arrived, it started to rain. And then it poured but it didn't dampen the excitement and enthusiasm of Mme. Michel and her daughters Brigitte and Valerie seen here with The Cooking Ladies and "Road Crew" Ruth.

Janie with Valerie ready for The Cooking Ladies' blender and counter top oven cooking demonstrations with the raffle proceeds going to the Home Hardware three national charities, .

Thank goodness the customers were hungry because A & J Home Hardware prepared enough food to feed the entire city of Sudbury.
