Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan

We arrived for a stopover at the Meadow Lake Home Hardware Building Centre and were treated to a party at the home of Don and Lois Marsh. Family and staff arrived for a steak barbecue in the Marsh backyard. The Cooking Ladies were the guests of honour.

Don even gave us his prized glass cabbages. Of course, we asked him to autograph them.

There was a cake decorated by Melissa.

And on top of all that, we received two gift baskets with two copies of their "Home Made" store cookbooks that were being sold for charity.

Carolin did the flower arrangements for the tables with flowers from her garden.

Don was in charge of the steaks. They tasted great!

A Cooking Ladies' product display was set up in the store.

The next day we signed cookbooks and met customers at the book-signing table.
Don gave his grandson, Ethan, a ride in the shopping basket.

Customers checked out the incredible product displays.

Road Crew Roger tested a summer chair in the store.

We are glad we stopped in Meadow Lake for the night. What wonderful hospitality.
