CHILLIWACK, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Fortin's Home Hardware Store Event
drew more people than expected and there was standing room only.

Sue Wrayton, Sharon Angus, Kendra Law, Erin O'Brien were part of Lamont's fan club at the event and included people she went to school with, people she taught school with and people she taught.

Kerry MacDonald, the manager at Fortin's Home Hardware, and Ruth (our food stylist) helped with the draw.

The proceeds of the draw for the Oster Digital Blender and the DeLonghi Countertop Convection Oven went to the Salvation Army

After the event, we couldn't get the motorhome door latch to close. This also caused the steps to stay out. No matter how hard we slammed the door or how much 10W30 we sprayed on the latch, the door refused to close. We had to drive the motorhome back to the RV Park. We gathered up a bunch of bungee cords to hold the door shut. But, because it would not close tightly, we had to drive with the steps out and be careful not to hit any curbs or knock anyone off their bicycle as we drove by.

Whenever we have a problem with the motorhome, we call James and Gale Veraart of Patterson RV Sales and Service in Ontario. With the three hour time difference, it was too late in Ontario to reach them until morning so we bungeed the door to the steering wheel for the night to keep out the bears and the mosquitoes.
