ON THE ROAD AGAIN... between Dryden and Cochrane with many drop-in visits to Home Hardware stores along the way.

Kakabeka Falls, Ontario

Gauthier Home Hardware, Longlac, Ontario

Getting propane in Hearst, Ontario

Maki Electric Home Hardware, Hearst, Ontario

On our way out of Hearst, these big, wild animals surrounded Road Crew Roger and Cooking Lady Lamont.

For the faithful blog readers who have been checking back daily to read all about this. Sorry to disappoint you. No Cooking Lady or Road Crew was arrested but it shows that we will go to great lengths to keep you in suspense and to keep this blog interesting.

While we were taking photos of the wild animals in Hearst, Senior Constable Jennifer Nolet staged a mock arrest. It proves that police officers are real people with a sense of humour.
After she left us, Jennifer was heading right down to Maki Home Hardware to buy a blender that we recommended.

DRYDEN, ONTARIO

B. Taylor Home Hardware Building Centre

Susan and Bruce Taylor with The Cooking Ladies

Setting up for the show!

... and slackin' off!

Entertaining the standing room only crowd...

The charity was the Dryden and District CT Scan Fund.

Don't you wish that this blog had sound? What is happening here is that Lamont is pointing at Road Crew Roger and telling how he uses Natura to clean the wrap on the motorhome.

Look at all the yellow shirts!!!

Susan Taylor drawing for the prizes while Lamont announces the winners.

And the lucky winners are...

Wait staff in training, Aaron and Tonielle serve the recipe samples and then have their photo taken with The Cooking Ladies in new yellow t-shirts received from Susan and Bruce.

Tonielle models her new yellow "dress" with the motorhome in the background.

An interview with Josh Johnson from the Dryden Observer.

Andrea James from CKDR Radio was on location for the entire event.

Later, Susan and Bruce cook for The Cooking Ladies and the Road Crew. We enjoy buffalo fillets, fresh walleye, and wild rice with mushrooms, celery, onion, and tiny broccoli florets. Yum!

KENORA, ONTARIO

A really big fish. As big as The Cooking Ladies' motorhome!!!!

Kenora Home Hardware Building Centre

Larry and Roger made the motorhome sparkle for the event at the Kenora Home Hardware Building Centre!

A wonderful display in the housewares section of the store
An attentive audience listened to Lamont as she talked about the itinerary for On the Road 2008.

The Home Hardware event under the tent drew a good crowd even though there were numerous other events going on in Kenora over the holiday weekend.

Randa drew the winning tickets.

The crowd gathered after The Cooking Ladies' presentation to check out the products.

A really big cheque to The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation from the Kenora Home Hardware Building Centre

Tame animal sighting on the road to the Yanch Ranch. Larry and Sylvia treated us to a shore lunch, a feast of fresh pickerel. Yum!
